Guide to Using DISTRONIC PLUS®

If your Mercedes-Benz comes already equipped with DISTRONIC PLUS®, you can use the system by following the simple steps below:

• Locate the DISTRONIC PLUS® controls on a lever that is attached to your car’s steering column.
• Move the lever up or down to change the cruising speed while driving. Move it up for a faster speed and down for a slower speed. If you press the lever gently, it will change your speed by one mile per hour.
• If you press the lever harder, it changes the speed by five miles per hour.
• To cancel your current cruise control setting, gently apply the brakes or push the lever away from you.
• Pull the lever toward you to continue the last speed that you set.
• Use the knob at the end of the lever to set the proper distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you. The central screen will show the distance interval you set.
• If you stop for longer than three seconds, lightly press on the gas pedal or pull the lever toward you to resume your prior speed and distance.

How Does DISTRONIC PLUS® with Steering Assist Work?

DISTRONIC PLUS® with Steering Assist will not work unless both of your hands are placed on the steering wheel. This system will function at speeds of up to 120 mph. When it’s activated, you will see a green steering wheel displayed in the instrument cluster on your dashboard. This system monitors lane markings and other cars around you on Vancouver streets and makes needed steering corrections to accommodate changes in the road.
