Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B are service intervals created by Mercedes-Benz to group together important service tasks. Doing so minimizes your time at our Portland service center while providing the care your vehicle needs. But, what are these crucial services and what separates one from the other? Taken care of at 10,000 miles or one year– whichever comes first– is Mercedes-Benz Service A*. Exact tasks can vary somewhat depending on the model year of your Mercedes-Benz, but most Service A appointments include:
Next up is Mercedes-Benz Service B*, which is performed at 20,000 miles or 2 years– whichever comes first. When you bring your vehicle in for Service B, it will receive:
Mileage and timing remain a big difference between Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B. However, once you get past the service intervals (Service A is performed at 1 year or 10,000 miles, while Service B is performed at 2 years or 20,000 miles) you’ll find many of the maintenance tasks to be the same. There are some exceptions though, such as the brake fluid replacement and cabin air filter replacement you receive during Service B. Some CLA and GLA AMG® models also require an engine air filter replacement during Service B.
